TAMPA, FL — Chloe A. Denney has joined Shumaker as an Associate in the firm’s Corporate, Tax and Transactions Service Line, where she advises clients on a range of corporate and tax matters. She brings a strong academic foundation and a passion for solving complex legal challenges to her growing practice.
“Chloe’s diligent, thoughtful, and meticulous approach in her work, paired with her dedication to the law, make her an exceptional asset to the firm and our clients,” said Will Blair, Partner and Corporate, Tax and Transactions Regional Service Line Leader.
A graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Chloe served on the Journal of Technology Law and Policy and represented the university in the Second TEI International Tax Student Case Competition in Montreal in August 2024. Her legal training is complemented by practical experience gained as a Summer Associate at Shumaker in 2023, where she developed a deep understanding of the firm’s collaborative, client-focused culture.
Chloe’s academic journey began with a focus on history and political science. Her honors thesis explored youth participation in political institutions in post-communist Europe—research that sharpened her analytical skills and informed the global perspective she brings to her work in corporate and tax law.
As she embarks on her legal career, Chloe is committed to providing thoughtful counsel and helping clients navigate today’s dynamic business and regulatory environment.
